How Verified Feedback Works

The Verified Feedback Layer is AutiVex's premium system for adding verified context to reviews. It helps businesses get clarity on disputed or high-stakes reviews while protecting reviewer privacy.

What is Verified Feedback?

When an Enterprise or Insurance partner requests verified feedback on a review, the reviewer is invited to verify their identity (via Stripe Identity) and provide structured additional details. If they complete verification, the review receives a "Verified Feedback" badge. The reviewer's personal identity is never shared publicly or with the business.

What Gets Verified

  • Reviewer is a real person (identity verification through Stripe)
  • Structured additional details are provided (reference numbers, dates, locations)
  • AI credibility checks passed (coherence, consistency)

What Does NOT Get Verified

  • Factual accuracy of claims made in the review
  • That a transaction actually occurred (unless proof is uploaded)
  • The reviewer's personal identity (kept strictly private)

Privacy Guarantees

How Verification Works

  • Stripe Identity verifies you are a real person using document verification
  • AutiVex only receives a verified/not-verified status
  • Once verified, you can skip this step for future requests

What We Never Store or Share

  • Your ID documents, photos, or selfies
  • Your name, address, or date of birth from documents
  • Any personal data extracted during verification

How Verification Holds Work

When Can a Review Be Placed on Hold?

A review can only be placed on "Verification Hold" if AutiVex's AI determines it meets specific risk criteria. Businesses cannot hide reviews unilaterally.

Fraud signals detectedSevere allegations (scam, safety)Coordinated attack patternsInsurance/legal claim disputes

What Happens During a Hold?

  • • Review content is temporarily collapsed (not deleted)
  • • A public placeholder explains the hold and shows the deadline
  • • The reviewer has 14 days to verify or respond
  • • After 14 days, the review is automatically restored

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I decline or ignore the verification request?

Your review will be restored after the hold period expires. It will display an "Unverified" label and may have reduced weight in aggregate calculations. The business cannot see your identity regardless of your choice.

Is my identity shared with the business?

Never. Stripe Identity verifies you are a real person and returns a pass/fail status. No documents, photos, or personal details are shared with the business or stored by AutiVex beyond a reference token.

Can businesses hide reviews by requesting verification?

No. A review can only be placed on "Verification Hold" if AutiVex's AI determines it meets specific risk criteria (fraud signals, severe allegations, coordinated attack patterns). If the AI does not approve a hold, the review remains fully visible with a "Verification Requested" label.
